Manufactured from the finest quality, high tenacity polyester webbing, with the ability to sustain a force of up to 5000kg at a standard popular width of 50mm. Alternative ratchet systems allow capacities between 1000kg and 10,000kg from widths of 25mm to 75mm webbing. In recent years webbing load restrains or lashings have proven most popular in all areas of transport and shipping. Characteristically lightweight and flexible, each lashing is quickly secured by a single operator, requiring very little effort or exertion. The system is efficiently tensioned by a compact, low profile, ratchet tensioner with integral handle and fail safe release catch. Operation is pump action and the handle design allows for the correct applied force without any need for additional levers. Attachment can be either chassis to chassis overload or alternatively applied direct to the load, a preferred configuration for irregular shaped heavy cargo’s reducing undesired movement.

A number of systems are available in varying lengths with a choice of end fittings, as illustrated. Standard systems are usually 8 metre or 10 metre in length, fitted with either claw hook or delta plate according to preference. The use of sliding wear sleeves and corner protectors are always recommended.

Load Binder Chain

Sling & tackle (Milton Keynes) Limited can assemble Chain Slings from stock, using the GUNNEBO system of chain sling components. All chain and components are made from quenched and tempered alloy steel. Each sling is supplied with all relevant documentation and certification as standard.

 Every component is proof-loaded after manufacture. Additionally, all chain and components carry identification marks for full tracebility right back to the steel supplier for raw material analysis. All Gunnebo G8’T’ (8) chain is manufactured and tested to the requirements of ISO 1834 & 3076, 1984 and BS 4942 Parts 1&5, 1984. All components are matched to the Working Load Limits of their relevant chain size.

Typical Safe Working Loads when using the Uniform Load Method of Rating

The introduction of the new Gunnebo GrabiQ system has added as much as 25% extra strength, size for size, against current grade 80 components.

This added to the drastically reduced number of components needed for a Chain Sling Assembly, results in less headroom being required for master link assembles. Any Master Link assembly using this system requires a maximum of three components. Also the ability to access a smaller component system with higher SWL offers advantages of weight savings, as you are using lighter components in the construction for a given weight.

The system is foolproof, as there can be no mismatch of master link with chain connectors and shorteners. Built-in shortening pocket guarantees matching size shortner and chain, and chain can be loaded from both sides of the shortening pocket. Misuse is no longer possible from incorrect side loading in shortening clutches.

Every chain leg can instantly be altered from straight lift to basket hitch.

1)Ultimate force test - Batch samples of chain and components are tested to ultimate failure. The minimum ultimate force is the Working Load Limit times the safety factor.

2)Proof Force Test - Every chain link and component is individually tested to the Manufacturers Proof Force, which is 62% of the minimum ultimate force for the GrabiQ system.

3)Total Ultimate Elongation - During the ultimate force test the elongation at fracture shall be at least 20% for chain grade 8+. This acts as an extra feature for detection of an overloaded chain.

4)Dynamic fatigue tests - All component types in the GrabiQ system are randomly fatigue tested to meet the severest conditions of use.

5)Traceability - Each component is batch marked and linked to an accurate filing system in order to secure tractability all the way through the batch data from the steel mill.

Push Travel Trolleys

A handle can be used to adjust the side plates and running wheels closer together for ease of fitting to your beam.
We can also supply the traditional design of Push Travel Trolley that are adjustable by moving securing nuts and spacers to adjust the running clearance for different beam sizes.

Geared Trolleys (with chain-operated travel)

Geared trolleys enable heavy loads to be moved along the beam with greater control and eliminate the load and trolley from running on through momentum.
A handle can be used to adjust the side plates and running wheels closer together for ease of fitting to your beam.
We also supply the traditional design of Geared Travel Trolley that are adjustable by moving securing nuts and spacers to adjust the running clearance for different beam sizes.
